Hematology is the study of the blood in all aspects, including the type of cells, the electrolytes, the inflammatory cells, the fats and sugars, the hormones, the pH, the enzymes and more tests that I can mention. “Let’s draw blood” is the first thing taught to 1st-year veterinary students.
